What is your pulse?
What if you went to the doctor for a routine checkup and after filling out all the forms, they call you back and what do you think they do? That is correct they take your blood pressure. Then they take your temperature. Both are routine items that give them an overview of what is going on.
Now, suppose that your heart was jumping out of your chest and your blood pressure was off the charts—what do you think a doctor would do? I hope they would start working on getting the blood pressure down and not running a number of other tests saying “we’ll get to your blood pressure later”. That got me thinking, what is the pulse (or blood pressure) of a business and more specifically, your business.
